Do I believe in Desensitization from BDSM or Porn is bad?

I was reading an article on about this subject yesterday and I thought that I would discuss it on here since I thought it was so important.
I love psychology and there are somethings I agree with, but the main thing that I don’t agree with is that being desensitized with sex and nudity are all that bad. I have a habit of running around the house semi-nude, and I do admit trouble does arise when guest arrive – but hey I’m not publicly nude I’m in my own house. I also voluntarily watch porn in order to masturbate or sometimes without porn, but I read parenting websites to get some laughs – there are some parents that believe that masturbating is unhealthy for kids, or that they want to masturbate that they’re possessed by the devil.
In the culture that we live in I feel it would be beneficial if everyone was desensitized from nudity, there is nothing wrong with it and it doesn’t automatically imply something sexual. And if we became more open about sex as a society maybe people wouldn’t be afraid to tell their partners what they want out of sex, or if there’s a special ‘something’ that they would like to add to their sex life.

I totally agree that it would be beneficial to be desensitised to nudity and more open about sex. One of the reasons I love the BDSM lifestyle so much is that is encourages people to be much more open about their desires and to communicate better with their partners, which is so important.

I think that it can be damaging for people because they can get addicted and especially in young people it can distort their expectations of a sexual relationship and give rise to problems with abuse and consent. I think porn is probably best enjoyed by couples?
