LGBT & BDSM – Being Genderqueer

When I was 16-years-old I realized I was genderqueer, it was the one point in my life that I found a word that described how I was feeling. I knew that I didn’t need a ‘label’, but for me finding the right fit helped me recognize what was happening, and allowed me to find others who had been going through similar experiences. I’ve figured out that I am genderqueer, but currently don’t know what I want to do to transition to fit how I feel.

For me being LGBT and being involved in BDSM the two don’t seem to coincide with each other, except for the partners and how I wish to be treated regarding my gender (or a lack there of). Though being genderqueer has been liberating! I know I can choose the path that satisfies only myself, and there isn’t one way to express myself as a genderqueer person.

Being a submissive I only have the desire to satisfy a Dominant, but a Dominant should only be supportive of my gender identity. And as a submissive or slave they should always be supportive and respective of however you identify.

I don’t believe that my gender identity has affected my interested in sex, or even discouraged my interested in a BDSM relationship. In fact, I am a huge pervert and I love living a BDSM lifestyle even though I haven’t found my perfect Dom.
