BDSM Becoming More Widely Acceptable

It’s no secret that sex toy stores have been selling BDSM-esque toys for about two to three years now, and why wouldn’t they if it wasn’t selling? Like many other things it takes time to incorporate an idea into society – a great example would be rimming which recently was forced upon the world with the whole Allison Williams scandal.
Sometimes I’m a bit pessimistic about if BDSM will actually see the day people actually know what it is, and one day I might be able to call someone ‘Master’ in public without it being weird.
Which is great kink and fetish have been a common topic in book clubs, especially after the release of the Fifty Shades series. But just about anyone who is literate has searched ‘kink’ or ‘BDSM’ on the internet, not that they would all publicly admit it to friends and family.
Many news or entertainment sites such as Buzzfeed have covered BDSM quite well, and have discussed that it has to be approached with caution. Which is always important but I do like the way the staff covered it – basically saying ‘I don’t personally enjoy it but I’m not against it’.
