3fc0828A while back I did a post on social media use in BDSM, but that was before I started discovering new or more useful sites that the BDSM community are present on like: Tumblr, Google +, and many more. Since the expansion of the BDSM community due to publications such as Fifty Shades of Gray (unfortunately), 150 Shades of Play, etc. People have been coming out to the world saying they’re interested in BDSM, and depending on the person they have either been accepted or reject (due to people considering them ignorant).

Even though they maybe ignorant at the time, it’s no reason to automatically reject them or think that they are ‘fake’ just because their still learning.

The sites that I still find most helpful include: Fetlife – the site is made for kinksters and fetishists, and Tumblr – Tumblr is all inclusive but searching tags such as ‘ddlg’ or ‘puppy play’ will have results. Tumblr is the one I’ve had the most luck with, but social media is still very tricky for me since I’m very shy and usually have a high level of anxiety. Most of the people I’ve met on Tumblr have been very welcoming and almost always accepting.

Also, while on there you can usually find really good shops (it’s how I discovered Kittensplaypen and others), and if you want to there are really good channels on YouTube that talk about BDSM.
